Wedding During Peak Wildflower Season in Crested Butte, Colorado

It has been a dream of ours to document a wedding during peak wildflower season in Crested Butte, Colorado, for a long time. There is something incredibly special about seeing the fields covered in purple and yellow flowers amongst the towering mountains surrounding them. When Brock and Kelsey told us they purposely picked their wedding date to coincide with this exact time of year, we knew it would be a wedding we would never forget.

Brock and Kelsey grew up in Indiana and were high school sweethearts. The pair got engaged in 2023, when Brock disguised a couple’s photoshoot as his proposal. As Brock and Kelsey began planning their wedding, they began to dream about the possibility of heading out west to be amongst the mountains and their closest family and friends as they said “I do.”

The more they talked about it, the more they knew they wanted to make their dream a reality. With the wildflowers and surrounding mountains, Crested Butte in the summer was the perfect place for them to plan their intimate wedding.

With their sweet dog, Luna, the couple drove west at the end of June 2025 to make their way to Crested Butte, where they would soon be married. Brock and Kelsey wanted their wedding day to be intentional, beautiful, and low-stress — they just wanted to be with each other in one of the prettiest places in the country.

And they definitely achieved their goals.

Crested Butte put on its best show for the couple, with beautiful weather and wildflowers everywhere. It was seriously jaw-dropping. We are STILL dreaming about this wedding day.
