Spring Engagement Shoot at Paint Mines Interpretive Park
Located in Peyton, Colorado, the Paint Mines Interpretive Park is known for its vibrant, colorful clay and rock formations. When Leah and Jake told us they wanted their engagement shoot here, we were thrilled; we had never shot at the Paint Mines before, but we had been patiently waiting for the day we would be able to. The Paint Mines offer a unique and distinct background from the typical Colorado mountains — they are bold, vibrant, and full of many natural wonders. This Paint Mines engagement shoot was one of our favorites, and we will be back to shoot here again.
The Paint Mines has a trail that goes back about four miles; we started on the trail by the main entrance and explored until we found spots we liked (which was every few feet). The only way to describe this Paint Mines engagement shoot was “other worldly”; it didn’t feel like a place you would find in Colorado! We had a blast exploring the Paint Mines with Leah and Jake; these two have such a fun and sweet love for each other. We can’t wait to document their wedding later this year!
